Bulgaria Arts Festival

Bulgaria is a simple and unassuming country that isn't very skilled at marketing itself. I spent 15 days there on a deep cultural tour organized by a folk dance club, with the highlight being the Bulgaria Arts Festival. Just walking from the guesthouse to the hilltop venue took half an hour under the blazing sun. I watched performances on six different stages, and the dedication of the performers was truly impressive. Many elderly grandmothers participated with great enthusiasm. The local bagpipe instrument, the gaida, was particularly awe-inspiring. We also visited villages to interact and dance with the locals. The members of our group could easily connect and engage with the villagers through music. It was truly an extraordinary artistic journey! 📍Location: Sofia, Bulgaria
