Shuanglin Temple, originally named Zhongdu Temple, was built before the Northern Qi Dynasty. There are many existing Song Dynasty buildings, with three courtyards distributed along the central axis. There are ten halls, including the Sakyamuni Hall, Arhat Hall, Wusheng Hall, Tu Di Hall, Yanluo Hall, Heavenly King Hall, Mahavira Hall, Thousand Buddha Hall, Bodhisattva Hall, Niangniang Hall, and Zhenyi Hall. Tour Route Heavenly King Hall Mountain gate, rebuilt in the Ming Dynasty, with four Vajrapani sculptures outside and four Heavenly King and eight Bodhisattva sculptures inside. Ksitigarbha Hall The central statue is Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva, with Ming Dynasty sculptures inside. There are also sculptures of the Ten Kings of Hell and the Six Judges of Hell on the left and right. Sakyamuni Hall One of the main halls, with many round and relief sculptures inside. Thousand Buddha Hall There are more than 500 existing Ming Dynasty colored sculptures, with the main statue being Guanyin, which is elegant and atmospheric, and is one of the photo spots. Bodhisattva Hall There are more than 400 existing Ming Dynasty colored sculptures, with the 26-handed Guanyin statue being the most wonderful work in the hall. There are Bodhisattva statues all over the walls. Mahavira Hall The main statue is the "Three-body Buddha", with Manjushri and Samantabhadra Bodhisattva on the left and right, all of which are Ming Dynasty works. Niangniang Hall The hall enshrines colored sculptures of Niangniang created based on folk legends. It was built in the Ming Dynasty and rebuilt in the Qing Dynasty.
