If you're looking for a unique and memorable restaurant in Pingtung, I recently tried "Hsi-Chu Modern Fusion Cuisine" and highly recommend it! ❤️ 📍 Here's what you need to know about this restaurant: This isn't your average Western restaurant! The head chef is Zheng Yu-Tong, a talented local from Pingtung. She honed her skills at a Michelin-starred restaurant in Taipei, bringing her refined French and Western culinary techniques back to Pingtung. Her "modern fusion cuisine" is all about using Michelin-level techniques to cook up the taste of Pingtung! 🌱 Incredibly Fresh Ingredients Their ingredients are truly amazing! The chef brings fresh, seasonal produce directly from his parents' fields, such as organic taro, sweet potato leaves, and ugly beans. Every bite is filled with the warmth of family and the dedication to "from farm to table"—a flavor that even high-end restaurants can't replicate. ⚠️Post-meal Discovery Ordering involves scanning the QR code on the back of the menu, then confirming and paying at the counter. We booked a weekday for 12:30 PM, and many dishes were sold out, such as the mushroom and taro chicken risotto, which was featured on a YouTube program. This dish was inspired by the mushroom and taro porridge the chef used to make when he was a child, but presented using Italian risotto techniques and spices. The clash between the traditional Taiwanese flavor and the creamy Italian texture made us really want to try it! Unfortunately, it was sold out that day, what a pity 😭 "Xizhu" is not just a restaurant, but a place where dreams come true. You can feel the chef's passion for food and love for his hometown. The atmosphere here is warm and cozy, perfect for bringing family and friends. They offer both meat and vegetarian options!
