The North Gate of Hengchun Old Town 🛕 is a must-visit attraction I decided to visit before coming to Kenting 🏖, although it is much smaller than I imagined. But after actually coming here, I really think it is worth it! Kenting is not only fun at the beach, but also has unique historical sites like this one. The streets in the ancient city are in the shape of a double cross. The north gate used to be the main gate. The upper part of Hengchun City is mostly official building land, while the lower part is mainly residential buildings. There is a doorway under the city gate, which is really unique. Cars can enter and exit like a cave. In the past, there was a viewing platform at the main gate (official road) of Hengchun Old Town. The north gate's lintel is made of basalt 🗻, with a frame and some 🪄 paintings. You can walk up from the city wall to enjoy the view from above. The city wall is built with gravel and corrugated stone. There are many coral reefs on the coast of Hengchun, and corrugated stone is easy to obtain, so they were made from local materials. The climbing path (slow path) at the west gate of the ancient city is the flattest and best preserved passage. Usually the slow lane is the passage leading up the city gate stairs or slope. In the past, you could even 🏇🏼 ride a horse 🎠 on the slow track into the city 🏯! I really think that Hengchun North Gate is a place where many historical traces are preserved. Standing next to the city wall, you can enjoy the scenery near the city gate 🏔, but if you want to follow the movie 🎞 "Cape No. 7", remember to go to the west gate!
