Pingtung Hengchun Sunshine Inn | This is probably the largest B&B I've ever stayed in ~ 1000/night on weekdays during off-season

#Hengchun Accommodation Sunshine Inn Legal homestay number: Pingtung County Homestay No. 485 I stayed for three consecutive days during the off-season in March, and the average cost was 1,000 per night. |Room Introduction The room type is #精巧双人房 on the fifth floor. The B&B has an elevator so moving luggage is not a problem. The room is really big and I even brought a tent for the kids to play. The room has a balcony that can get some sun, and the wind in Hengchun is strong, so any clothes you wash will dry super quickly, but they will almost always be blown to the ground 😅. Because it faces inwards and not the main road, it is not noisy at all, but if the guests next door make a little noise, you can still hear it. But luckily, there was only one day when we stayed next door, and we almost had the whole house to ourselves for the other two days😂 A small box of toys (magnetic tiles/house playing) is provided in the room, and when the child checked in, the hostess gave him a magic wand as a greeting gift. It was so fun! Lots of extra points ~ I also brought picture books and house-playing toys with me, but I never took them out, and she had a lot of fun playing with them. The bed and pillows are comfortable to sleep on, the water supply is large 👍, and the air conditioner is not noisy and cold enough. The design of the bathtub is quite unique, it is built as a small wall, I think it makes good use of the space. For 1000/night, I am pleasantly surprised that I can take a bath.🤣 The toiletries provided only include basic bath towels/soap/shower gel/shampoo/toothbrush sets. I couldn’t find the shower gel at first because it looked too much like a tea bag😂⋯⋯We would pack our own rubbish and bring it downstairs every day, and then exchange new bath towels/trash bags with the hostess. It actually felt a bit like living at home, which was very convenient and nice. There is a small refrigerator in the room, which is very cold. Anything you put in it overnight will almost freeze. There is also a hair dryer/kettle/electric fan/indoor mop. Bottled water is not provided, but there is a water dispenser on the first floor. The hostess will fill a pot with water for you to drink. It's quite considerate. There are also baby bathtubs and small chairs available. If there is any shortcoming in the room, it is that there is no dressing table and wardrobe, so there is not much space to hang clothes. Then the table was a bit small, so we ended up sitting on the floor to eat 😂. The advantage worth mentioning is that there are a lot of sockets, about ten or so, and the WIFI is very fast ~👍 |Introduction to B&B facilities Having an elevator is a big plus, and since the host and his family live here, we can cook in the kitchen, which is fully equipped. At first I thought it would be uncomfortable to live with the host, but after actually moving in, my mind changed completely, it's very convenient😆⋯⋯If you don't have anything, just ask and you will know the answer, if you don't have toilet paper, just ask and it will be there, etc. But since it's my own home, I use it quite often, and there are quite a lot of stuff in it, so it does look a little messy, but not bad enough to give a bad review (public area on the first floor). Before checking in, I asked if there were any bicycles available for rent. The hostess said no, but if we were just going to town for a short trip to buy something, she could lend us her scooter. Although I didn't end up using it, it sounded very thoughtful! |Transportation Location It is located on the main road Henggong Road, where there is a whole row of homestays connected to the horizon. A 5-minute walk will take you to PX Mart and 7-11; a 10-minute walk will take you to Hengchun Night Market, A-Jia's Home, Hengchun Folk Song Museum, McDonald's, and Starbucks; a 15-minute walk will take you to the vegetable market and Nanmen City (a place I have actually been to), so the location is very convenient. As for parking, you can park two cars at the door, and you can park on the nearby sidewalks. It feels like an unwritten rule. I checked in on a weekday so parking was not a big problem. #MarchGoodPlaces2025
