Summer Vacation with Kids: A Two-Day Trip Guide to Pingnan

🏕Itinerary: D1 Fuzhou - Baishuiyang - Longtan Village D2 Longtan Village - Siping Village - Xiadi Village (Xianfeng Bookstore) - Fuzhou 🚗Transportation: Self-driving for the entire trip. It takes more than an hour from Baishuiyang to Longtan Village⏳️. There is a section of mountain road that is difficult to drive, so be careful❗️ Longtan and Siping Village are very close, about a ten-minute drive. It takes about an hour to drive from Siping Village to Xianfeng Bookstore🧩. 🆚Village Comparison: Longtan Village is relatively large and more developed. There are many accommodations, restaurants🍲, and coffee shops☕, and many local residents. You can visit popular stores while still experiencing the local culture and customs. Personally, I think it is the best village to visit among the three💖. Siping Village is relatively small and more scattered compared to Longtan Village. The central area is similar to a cultural and creative park, with many coffee shops and beer bars🥂. Xiadi Village is famous for Xianfeng Bookstore and has a large area of rice fields🌾 that are very soothing. However, the village itself is relatively dilapidated. Although it retains its historical appearance, it is not well developed. Most of the houses are private residences of the elderly in the village🛖. 🛌Accommodation: We chose to stay in Longtan Village🎐, which is relatively more developed and has more accommodation options. We stayed at No. 1 Xiantan Homestay⛺, located in the central area of the village, very close to the covered bridge. There is a very clean stream at the entrance💞. ✔️Advantages: Great location, spacious homestay🛋, and well-equipped facilities. The ancient style is well preserved, and the mosquito-proof screens and blackout wooden windows are well done. The owner is very nice❤. We arrived late, and he was worried we might get lost, so he came to the village entrance to pick us up and even let us park in his private parking lot🚘. The courtyard of the homestay has many flowers and plants🪻 and four lazy cats🐱, showing that the owner loves life. The plums in the courtyard were in season, and when we left, the owner invited us to pick some🍒 and gave us a big bag. I have to say, the homegrown plums were particularly fragrant and sweet. ⚠️Disadvantages: Poor sound insulation. Friends who are light sleepers should remember to bring earplugs.
