Pienza is a village in central Tuscany, Italy, and is also the birthplace of Pope Pius II in the 15th century. It became widely known as the filming location for Romeo and Juliet. In May, you can see the vast green landscapes of the Tuscan farms, while at other times, you can see the tawny farmlands. It is mainly accessed from Florence, but it is difficult to reach by public transportation, so you need to rent a car.
