"Ang Mo Lao"

#Songkran Trip Baan Chinpracha was built in the late reign of King Rama V by Phra Phithak Chinpracha (Tan Ma Siang). He built this house in the Sino-Portuguese style, the first house in Phuket Province, or known as “Ang Mor Lao”. The distinctive features of the house are that it is a 2-storey house with Chinese characters in gold lacquer and lacquer. The wooden windows are made of louvered shutters that can be opened and closed. In the middle of the house, there is a small pond that is open for ventilation. The floor tiles are from Italy. The wooden stairs have beautiful patterns. Most of the furniture is inlaid with mother-of-pearl from China. Most of the other materials in the house are imported from abroad. This is because the trade by ship through Penang Island to Phuket was booming at that time. The entrance fee to the house is 100 baht per person.
