The most popular tourist destination in Phuket is Patong beach, located on the west coast of Phuket. The 2.5 kilometers long sandy beach holds an endless number of hotels, resorts and various other tourist attractions that make it a favourite pick among visitors. I spent the whole day on the beach and it is a really nice beach in Phuket. The sand is soft and the sea is clean. The only thing is that it was very crowded when I went there. The beach known for its nightlife owing to the many clubs, bars, lounges, remains open all through the night. Undoubtedly, Patong is the ultimate go to for people who like to party but not for people wanting some time in solitude. Patong beach is also popular for its shopping lanes where shopaholics are certain to find something fancy to take back home. From night markets to fresh markets to malls, shopping lovers have quite a few options for their fun pass time. Tourists interested in watersports can find a number of water activities such as surfing and swimming. As for me I prefer Kata beach, because there’s more quiet and there you can enjoy the holiday with the family.
