Wat Somdet Phureum Ming Muang

Wat Somdet Phu Ruea Ming Mueang is a striking and beautiful temple in Phu Ruea District, Loei Province. It is often considered one of the must-see temples when visiting Phu Ruea. Exquisite Teak Architecture: The Teakwood Ubosot (ordination hall) is a highlight of the temple. The entire chapel is constructed entirely of teakwood and features intricate and delicate carvings in the Lan Xang style, from the walls to the interior elements. It is a masterpiece of art and is well worth a visit. Phra Kring Pawares: The Ubosot houses the image of Phra Buddha Bhaisajyaguru Vaiduryaprabha, the physician (Phra Kring Pawares), which contains the relics of the Lord Buddha. Jade Buddha and Reclining Buddha: The temple also houses a magnificent jade Buddha image in the Mara-Vijaya posture, and a reclining Buddha carved from Myanmar jade. Mountain View (Panoramic View): The temple sits on a hill, offering clear views of Phu Ruea District and the intricate mountains. The atmosphere is quiet, shady and cool, suitable for relaxation and meditation.
