Let's go warm up our legs at Phu Kradueng | Loei

#NatureTourism This season is the best time to climb Phu Kradueng. The park usually opens for climbing on October 1st. Abel will share her experience. .... The journey started with a bus from Mo Chit. The bus left at 10 PM and we arrived the next morning at #Pha Ngok Khao. This trip, we planned to rent a tent and sleeping equipment. We only carried clothes and essentials. We would then hire porters to make the trek easy and light. But as it turned out, by the time we reached the entrance of the national park, the porters were all gone! So, we had to carry our own. The backpack wasn't very heavy, though, just over 6 kg. When we started to climb, we looked left and right for our trusty bamboo pole, but couldn't find it. Or maybe there were so many people walking that they ran out of poles. So, we decided, we were already here, so we'd just walk without a pole. We'd just rely on our climbing instincts. This trip was intended to be 3 days and 2 nights, to cover all the viewpoints. The trekking route was well-planned. Day 1 Arrived, packed up the tent, went to watch the sunset at Pha Mak Duk, and returned. Find food at the campsite and rest. There's food for sale at every samui, so no need to worry about food. Day 2 Woke up early to watch the sunrise at Pha Nok Aen, and returned for a nap before continuing the trek. The entire waterfall route included a visit to Pen Phop Waterfall and the forest. Then, we walked to the sunset route at the highlight, Pha Lom Sak. Along the way, there were various viewpoints and cliffs, stopping to take photos at every spot to rest our legs. After the sun set, we walked back the same way to Wang Kwang Campground and had lunch. Showered and rested. Before bed, we took ibuprofen to relieve leg pain and muscle fatigue from the extensive walking. We were afraid we wouldn't be able to climb down the mountain. Day 3 Packed up and headed down the mountain. Coming down from the back of the mountain, my legs were a bit shaky at first, due to the steepness and fatigue of my leg muscles. But after walking for a while, my body warmed up and adjusted, and it was a breeze. I went down to eat shaved ice at Sam Haek before reaching the ground. This trip, I must say, was the longest cumulative walk I've ever walked in three days, covering about 50 km. It's the longest walk I've ever walked, so far. 💚 #PhuKradueng #Loei #VisitLoei #HikingThailand #NatureTherapy #IndependentTraveler
