One of the most important temples in Ayutthaya is Wat Phra Mahathat. It’s once glorious temple but still glorious standing today imagining the colorful place this temple was before. History is very rich that you can feel the atmosphere of the place. They said that the Buddha head is stolen by someone and forgotten that the bayan tree swallowed it and stays there for centuries. it’s like you the robbers cannot steal from them anymore.... Before I can only see the image of Buddha head in the tree roots on postcard, images on internet but now I see it and take my own photo of the Buddha.
