Wat Mahayongkhon

Wat Mahayongkhon is located in Hantra Subdistrict, Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya District, Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Province. In the past, this place was a royal temple, but it became a deserted temple after the fall of Ayutthaya for the second time in 1767. At present, Wat Mahayongkhon has become a meditation center and a place for ordaining monks who observe the 8 precepts in a quiet and shady atmosphere.
