Chandrakasem Palace, Ayutthaya Province

The Chantharakasem National Museum, or Chantharakasem Palace, or Wang Na, is located on U Thong Road along the Pa Sak River in the northeastern corner of the city island near Hua Ro Market. It is a center of knowledge on ancient Thai architecture in the province. It was originally the residence of high-ranking royals. Evidence from the chronicles indicates that the entire building was built entirely from fragrant sandalwood.
