#GetDiscountsWithoutLuck Wat Chan Tawan Ok is located on Suphan Kanlaya Bridge in Mueang Phitsanulok District, Phitsanulok Province, opposite Wat Chan Tawan Ok, with the Nan River at its center. This ancient temple boasts exquisite architecture, highlighted by the golden Mahavihara Somdej Ong Phatom and the large standing Buddha image, Luang Pho Thong Lai Ma, enshrined in front. There's no definitive evidence of the exact year Wat Chan Tawan Ok was built, but it's assumed it was built concurrently with the founding of Phitsanulok. Originally known as Wat Rang Ngern, a fire destroyed the temple and surrounding houses around 1857. Following the fire, villagers sought to find land near the river to build a temple. Mr. Thet and Mrs. Thongkam, two devout villagers, donated 16 rai and 3 ngan of their land to build the temple, and renamed it Wat Chan, in honor of the Chan trees that grow around the temple.
