#triptravelchina 🏡Wat Huadong was built in 1870. It has important and interesting things: 🧱The old chapel is a lotus-shaped building made of brick and mortar. There are entrances and exits to the chapel both in the front and back. Above the door, there are stucco decorations. There is no ceiling. 🏡The new chapel was completed in 1986 by inviting a replica of the Buddha image, Luang Pho Phet, the principal Buddha image from the original chapel to be enshrined inside the chapel. 🏕The sermon hall enshrines the Chiang Saen Buddha image in the Mara-Vijaya posture, Phra Moggallana and Phra Sariputta. 🏕The monks' huts enshrine Buddha images from the Chiang Saen, Sukhothai and U Thong periods. 🙏This temple used to be the residence of Luang Pho Phit, a revered monk. He was an important force in building the first Ubosot in 1925.
