Pengzhou Shiniujiao & Wulong Cave Travel Guide 📍Attraction Address: Pengzhou Shiniujiao: Shiniu Town, Pengzhou, Chengdu, Sichuan Wulong Cave: Longmenshan Town, Pengzhou, Chengdu, Sichuan The attraction is also a hiking route. 🚗Transportation: Self-driving: From downtown Chengdu, drive along the Chengdu-Pengzhou Expressway for about 1 hour to Pengzhou, then follow the navigation to Shiniu Town and Longmenshan Town, about 50 minutes. Public transportation: Take a train from Chengdu to Pengzhou, then take a bus or taxi to Shiniujiao and Wulong Cave. 👍️Must-see Attractions: Shiniujiao: Shiniu Mountain Scenic Area: Climb the mountain and enjoy the natural scenery. Shiniu Temple: A historic temple dedicated to the legendary Bull King. Wulong Cave: Cave Exploration: Admire the magnificent stalactites, stalagmites, and underground rivers. Skylight View: Wulong Cave is known as the “No. 1 Skylight in Western Sichuan.” Light shines through the skylight, creating a unique natural wonder. It was cloudy when we visited, so there was no sunlight. 🎟️Tickets: Shiniujiao: Shiniu Mountain Scenic Area: Free Shiniu Temple: Donations only, no fixed ticket price Wulong Cave: Tickets: Adult tickets are about CNY 20/person, children and senior tickets are about CNY 10 (prices may vary, please check in advance). You can bargain. We paid CNY 20 for 2 people, and the old lady turned on the lights. 💗Other Tips: 1. Best time to visit: Spring and autumn, when the weather is pleasant and the scenery is beautiful. 2. Equipment: Wear comfortable hiking shoes, bring a windbreaker and flashlight (especially for exploring Wulong Cave). 3. Safety: The cave is slippery, so walk carefully. Conserve your energy when climbing to avoid exhaustion. 4. There are many wild caves, but we don’t recommend visiting them because there are many underground rivers. 5. Food: Try Pengzhou’s local cured meat, tofu pudding, and cold noodles. You can enjoy authentic Sichuan cuisine at farmhouses or small restaurants near the attractions.
