Chiyou Jiuli City

Chiyou Jiuli City is located in Tingziba, at the junction of Shaoqing Street and Dianshui Street in Pengshui Miao and Tujia Autonomous County, Chongqing. It is 8 km from Pengshui County and 175 km from downtown Chongqing.  Overview - Scale and honors: With a planned area of 10 square kilometers, it is a national 4A-level tourist attraction, the first tourist attraction in Chongqing with Miao culture as the main theme, and has won the titles of "Top 10 Tourist Destinations of 2017 Chongqing Tourism" and "Top 20 Chinese Brand Tourist Attractions of 2018". - Architectural composition: It consists of more than 40 individual scenic buildings, mainly including the landmark gatehouse, Jiudao Gate, Jiuli Palace, Jiuli Tribe, Big Dipper, and Chiyou Hall. Main attractions - Jiudao Gate: The Miao architectural landscape with the most gates in the world, and the only nine-entry courtyard, facing north, with each gate building staggered and different in shape. - Jiuli Palace: The world's tallest and largest stilted building and the largest quadrangle building, with a combination of quadrangle, stilted building, and sky-high building. - Jiuli God Pillar: The world's tallest, largest diameter, and most carved ghost and god statue Miao totem pole, made of white marble, 24 meters high. - Chiyou Hall: The soul project of Jiuli City, with a pure bronze statue of Chiyou sitting inside, 5.99 meters high, 3.3 meters wide, 1.9 meters thick, and weighing 40 tons. Cultural activities Since 2015, a grand Chiyou sacrificial ceremony has been held in Chiyou Jiuli City every year on the eighth day of the fourth lunar month.
