Penghu｜Cross-sea Bridge: Walking through the island's most magnificent road amidst the sea breeze and waves

The Penghu Cross-Sea Bridge, connecting the two islands of Baisha and Xiyu, is one of Penghu's most iconic landmarks. The 2,494-meter-long bridge was first built in 1970 and renovated in 1996. Not only was it the longest cross-sea bridge in Taiwan at the time, it also symbolized Penghu's transition from isolation to connectivity. Driving across the bridge, the sea breeze rustles, the azure ocean on either side, and the waves lapping against the shore are breathtakingly refreshing. Especially on clear days, the blue sky, white clouds, bridge, and ocean intertwine to create Penghu's most magnificent scene.
