Famous Char Koay Teow in Penang 🇲🇾

#winhkflight 📍Ah Leng Char Koay Teow, Penang Finally visiting the famous Ah Leng Char Koay Teow in the heart of Penang, George Town. We were there on a weekend afternoon and the place was packed with large crowds, we had to wait for an hour for our seats and for our char koay teow to be served. It was a lengthy wait but definitely worth the wait! The kopitiam is a traditional locals food place, no air conditioning but it was airy despite the large crowd. Char koay teow was deliciously appetising and full of wok hei! We ordered 2 normal ones, and another special char koay teow which consist of mantis prawn and four jumbo prawns topping it. The de-shelled prawns were juicy and succulent, great pairing to the well cooked char koay teow! It was slightly pricey, but worth a try for both locals and visitors. I wish to travel to Hong Kong for the food!
