Mount Semeru, East Java

#summervacay Mount Semeru is the highest peak in Java and one of the most challenging hikes I’ve ever done. The trek took us through lush forests, lakes, and ash-covered slopes. Reaching the summit for sunrise felt epic—standing above the clouds while Semeru occasionally lets out puffs of smoke. It's a spiritual experience for many, and it definitely tested my limits. Not for the faint of heart, but it’s a top-tier summer adventure for serious hikers.
