A Hotel That's Also a Temple: Your Good Luck Is Maximized｜ZhiwaLing🇧🇹 I visited many hotels during my stay in Bhutan. As a discerning and detail-oriented hotelier, one of the biggest impressions Bhutan's luxury hotels left on me is this: Bhutanese hospitality is next level! This is the ZhiwaLing Heritage hotel in Paro. ZhiwaLing is a local Bhutanese hotel brand, and they have another hotel in the capital city of Thimphu. I believe the core of a hotel always comes down to its people. For example, a hotel's hardware, to some extent, determines its origins and upbringing, but the software determines how it grows and the kind of "person" it becomes. During my visit to the ZhiwaLing Hotel in Paro, Bhutan, I was not only deeply impressed by the hotel's aesthetics but also deeply amazed by the hotel team. Every window frames a picturesque view, every step evokes a sense of Zen—time seems to stand still. The hotel features an all-suite design with a total of 45 rooms. The toiletries are from their own brand. There are four F&B outlets, a spa, a gym, a swimming pool, an outdoor hot spring, and a meditation room—everything you could need. While exploring the hotel, I happened to meet the hotel management team, who invited me for coffee and afternoon tea. While chatting with the hotel's marketing manager, I asked her: "Which travel agencies are your main partners in China, and what are your primary promotional channels? I really want to introduce your hotel to more people traveling to Bhutan!" The staff explained that the hotel underwent renovations during the pandemic and even added an elevator. I visited Room 45, which I heard is a favorite of royalty and Rinpoches. The hotel has even incorporated a Buddhist shrine directly into the room. Just sitting quietly there for a while, I felt an incredible sense of spiritual support. There's another shrine on the third floor, and antique furnishings throughout the hotel connect guests with the passage of time. Life is a series of awakenings to impermanence. I hope every guest who stays here can experience auspiciousness and joy.
