Wat Pa Mok Worawihan, Ang Thong Province

Wat Pa Mok Worawihan is located in the Pa Mok Subdistrict Municipality, Ang Thong Province. This temple houses one of the most beautiful reclining Buddha statues in Thailand. The statue was built during the Sukhothai period and has an astonishing history. It is said that the statue floated down the river and sank in front of the temple. There is a legend that the Buddha statue could speak, as recorded by Phra Kru Pa Mok Muni, the abbot of Wat Pa Mok. This reclining Buddha statue is ancient and has been with the temple for a long time. It is large and magnificent. Wat Pa Mok Worawihan is a recommended place to visit when in Ang Thong Province.
