Oxford Half-Day Tour｜Why don't British schools have playgrounds?

I bought an open return for the return trip, so I could go back at any time. There was no ticket inspection throughout the process. Travel Tips and Precautions 1⃣️ It's a 16-minute walk from the train station to Christ Church (Christ Church College, Oxford University). Remember to buy tickets online in advance (there were walk-ins on the day, but they were told at noon that tickets were sold out and they couldn't enter). After entering, first go to the gift shop on the right to validate your ticket and get an audio guide. Student tickets are 16.5 pounds, and they will check your student ID when you pick up the ticket. The ticket office closes at 16:30. 2⃣️ Christ Church College has many Harry Potter filming locations. The most iconic are the Great Hall (p4, p5) and the Hogwarts Staircase Hall. The Great Hall offers lunch and dinner. The entire visit takes about an hour and a half. Many places do not restrict photography, including the church (p6). 3⃣️ After the visit, it's an 8-minute walk to Radcliffe Square (Radcliffe Camera). Opposite it is the University Church of St Mary the Virgin. It is highly recommended to spend 6 pounds to climb to the top, where you can overlook the entire Oxford (p14-p17). The visit takes 30 minutes to 1 hour. 4⃣️ Walk two or three more minutes to the Bridge of Sighs. Personally, I find it rather boring, just a place to take a photo and check-in. 5⃣️ Trinity College is a bit further ahead, and there is the Oxford Market with various snacks. You can stroll around casually. 6⃣️ The Oxford University Museum of Natural History is free to visit. If you're interested, you can check it out. Its collection is second only to the Natural History Museum in London. 7⃣️ Oxford is a very small town. An afternoon is more than enough to explore it. In terms of food, you can try the local ice cream. Time-wise, you can leave your home in London at nine in the morning, and considering the round-trip train time, you can be back home in London by six in the evening. I've always been curious why many British schools don't have playgrounds, especially those with tracks. Maybe I'm used to every school in China having a playground, basketball court, football field, table tennis court, badminton court... But in the UK, apart from often seeing large lawns, basketball courts are also rarely seen. Previously, I learned that booking a basketball court costs 30 pounds an hour. If you want to play badminton or volleyball, you can only make an appointment with friends to play in the park, or go to a gym at a high price... Not to mention wanting to play table tennis, you can't find a place either.
