Oslo in 48 hours!

#northerneurope Getting There - Oslo can be accessed through the main international airport which is a 30 minute drive from the city centre. It is very easy to take a train from the main station to the city centre or to take a taxi. It is also possible to arrive by train and bus from other cities in Norway as well as by sea from other countries such as Denmark and Sweden Attractions - some of the top attractions in Norway include the old fortress along the harbour as well as the opera house which you can climb onto the roof (safely) to take pictures from. There are also landmarks around the city that are famous, such as the tiger statue, and taking a boat out to the surrounding islands is also fun. Hotels - there are a variety of hotels available, including 3-5 star hotels, hostels and luxury resorts. All of them are at a different price and offer different services. I stayed at the Scandic Oslo city centre hotel that had free WiFi, a gym and a great breakfast which cost around 80 euro per night. The ambiance was very relaxed and they had a 24 hour reception. Food & Restaurants - there are a variety of restaurants in the city centre with some offering authentic Norwegian food as well as international food too. Most bars in Oslo also serve some type of food. Shopping - in the city centre, there are a variety of shopping opportunities that include local souvenir shops as well as big high street brands. If you need to purchase something whilst you are there, then you will definitely be able to find it
