A Family Visit to the Osaka Expo

Our family of four, with two adults and two young children, visited the Osaka Expo to join in the excitement. Among all the pavilions we tried to book in advance, only the Mitsubishi Pavilion had available slots. However, it turned out to be not particularly special—just some computer animations—and even with a reservation, we still had to wait in line for over half an hour. Other pavilions we were interested in required long queues, which was not feasible for us with a two-year-old and a six-year-old. Despite this, the exhibition grounds did not disappoint. The centerpiece, the wooden structure, was more magnificent than we had imagined and served as a clear symbol of the entire expo. While there weren’t many facilities or exhibits specifically designed for young children, they were thrilled to collect stamps from different countries, which brought them great joy. Unexpectedly, there were also some play areas in the center of the venue, which made the kids extremely happy. What we initially planned as a few-hour visit turned into a full-day adventure. We hope this experience leaves our children with wonderful memories and helps them realize how vast the world is, with so many places yet to explore.
