D2 Nara & Kyoto: Deer feeding in the morning, followed by a snowy afternoon stroll through Kyoto's Sannenzaka, Ninenzaka, Fushimi Inari Shrine, and Kiyomizu-dera Temple. Hand warmers proved essential for taking photos without freezing. For Chiikawa fans, visit the Kyoto main store early to get tickets; entry is not allowed after 3:30pm. D3 Universal Studios Japan - Super Nintendo World Worried about not getting timed entry tickets, I purchased an Express Pass in advance and also managed to secure an 8pm entry slot. No need to queue early; arriving around 8pm allowed for quick park entry with the crowd. Queues for each attraction were long, but the focus was Mario. Other rides can be enjoyed back home. The themed restaurant is a must-try for decent food and photo opportunities. Taxi fare from the hotel to Universal Studios was JPY3,900 each way. D4 Shopping Shinsaibashi PARCO: A kids' paradise on the upper floors, with stationery and toys galore. Must-try curry at Takashimaya: Kusaka Curry (Namba Dining Maison branch)
