Orlando New Year Disney + Universal Four-Day Five-Park Adventure (Part 2)

On December 30th, we visited the Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure. The Escape from Gringotts ride was somewhat disappointing despite high expectations, primarily due to its reliance on visual effects rather than real-life sets. In contrast, Disney's Star Wars attractions use more real-life settings, enhancing the experience. The Hogwarts Express, which we waited an hour and a half for, was visually impressive but not worth the long wait. The Hagrid's Motorbike Adventure, although highly anticipated, lacked excitement and storytelling, making it feel like an ordinary roller coaster. On December 31st, we spent the day at Magic Kingdom. The TRON Lightcycle Run was initially thrilling but quickly became monotonous. The New Year's Eve fireworks were spectacular, with shows at 6:30 PM and just before midnight, both offering a magical display over the illuminated castle. However, the midnight show was significantly more crowded. Ranking the attractions based on excitement, I would place Star Wars and Guardians of the Galaxy at the top, followed by the Tower of Terror, TRON Lightcycle, Hagrid's Motorbike, Rock 'n' Roller Coaster, Escape from Gringotts, Ratatouille, Soarin', and Mission: SPACE. #Disney #UniversalStudios #NewYear #NewYearFireworks #Orlando
