Okayama Korakuen, one of Japan's three great gardens

Okayama Korakuen, located next to Okayama Castle, is one of Japan's three great gardens. Built by the second lord of the Okayama Domain, Ikeda Tsunamasa, this magnificent garden is filled with flowers that bloom throughout the year, making you feel as if you have traveled back to the Edo period. In 1952, Korakuen was designated as a "Special Place of Scenic Beauty" and received three stars in the Michelin Green Guide, making it a true gem of Japanese gardens. The garden is a great place to take a stroll and enjoy the peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. The pond, teahouse, and lawn are all great photo spots. The "Fantasy Garden" event is held in spring, summer, and fall, when the garden is lit up at night, creating a fairy-tale-like atmosphere.
