Okayama Castle - One of Japan's Top 100 Castles

During our holiday, we visited Okayama in Japan, and the most famous attraction in Okayama is, of course, our main focus today - Okayama Castle. Okayama Castle was built by Ukita Hideie during Japan's Sengoku period and is one of Japan's Top 100 Castles. Its black exterior has earned it the nicknames 'Crow Castle' or 'Golden Crow Castle.' From JR Okayama Station, you can take a tram for a few stops to reach the castle. After passing through a park, you can see Okayama Castle from a distance. The closer you get along the riverside, the more magnificent it appears. Inside, there are preserved artifacts, exquisite souvenirs, and delicious sweets. You can even dress up as a lord or princess. Many people pass through Okayama, so if you have time next time, take a stroll here and enjoy its unique charm.
