Authentic Japanese Ryokan Stay at Ginzan Onsen

Experience an authentic Japanese ryokan stay in the beautiful Ginzan Onsen ♨️, a historic hot spring village in Yamagata. The village features a waterfall, a river running through its center, and is surrounded by mountains. During late autumn, the warm orange hues of the changing leaves create a stunning atmosphere, offering a different kind of beauty even without snow. 🍂 For transportation, you can take a day trip by riding the JR train to Ōishida Station and then transferring to a bus. However, if you prefer a more relaxing getaway, you can stay overnight at a ryokan in the village. We chose to stay at Takimikan because of the breathtaking view from the room. Although we missed the peak of the autumn foliage, the onsen view was absolutely incredible. Located on a secluded hill at the far end of the village, it offers a peaceful ambiance with fewer passersby compared to the lower parts of the village. Highly recommended for a visit—it's truly worth it! 🧡🍁 *For those not staying overnight in the village, you can find accommodations in Yamagata City. Just make sure to check the bus schedule back to the JR station carefully.
