It was a trip to Oamaru, New Zealand 🇳🇿 We recently exploring Oamaru, and it turned out to be one of the most picturesque places we’ve visited in New Zealand 📸 From stunning Victorian architecture to unique wildlife encounters, there’s no shortage of beautiful spots to capture on camera ✨ We began our adventure at Steampunk HQ, a must-see for anyone visiting Oamaru 👍 The art and exhibits, filled with industrial and vintage steampunk flair, created such a unique atmosphere. We arrived in the late morning, around 10 AM ☀️ when the light was perfect for snapping photos of the colorful, eccentric installations ✨ The fun, mechanical sculptures and interactive displays were not only photogenic but also incredibly fun to explore. I would recommend coming early to avoid crowds and to get the best lighting for those vibrant shots 🙌 📍1 Itchen Street, Oamaru 9400 We then explored the Historic Oamaru Precinct. This area, with its stunning limestone buildings and cobblestone streets, is a photographer’s dream 📸 The early afternoon, around 1 PM, offered the best light for capturing the intricate architecture of the old warehouses and shops 🛍️ Walking through the precinct, we felt like we had stepped back in time to the Victorian era. It’s an incredibly photogenic spot, and I would definitely recommend taking your time here to get a few shots of the town’s historic charm 📸 📍Thames Street, Oamaru 9400 For a change of pace, we made our way to the Oamaru Public Gardens 🌺 The gardens are a peaceful haven, and we were lucky to visit in the late morning when the flowers 💐 were in full bloom. The sunlight ☀️ filtering through the trees and reflecting off the ponds created a serene, almost magical atmosphere. We spent some time strolling around and snapping photos of the vibrant flowerbeds, the manicured lawns, and the historic band rotunda. It’s a great spot for nature photography, and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a quiet, picturesque retreat 🙌 📍10 Severn Street, Oamaru 9400 We also visited Bushy Beach 🏝️ Scenic Reserve, and it did not disappoint. The coastal views here are absolutely stunning, especially around 4 PM when the light ✨ starts to soften and cast a warm glow over the cliffs and ocean 🌊 The rugged coastline, the crashing waves, and the dramatic cliffs made for incredible photos 📸 We also spotted a few sea lions 🦭 basking on the rocks, which added to the magic of the moment. I would recommend this spot for anyone who loves dramatic coastal landscapes and wildlife photography 📸 📍Bushy Beach Road, Oamaru 9400 Oamaru truly exceeded our expectations.
