You can refer to this itinerary if you're looking for a similar experience. 🔎 Day 1️⃣: Take a taxi to Ganhaizi (located in Swiss Scenic Area) to see the sunrise over the snow-capped mountains. 📍 To get a good spot, arrive before 7:00 AM; sunrise is around 7:30 AM. ⛰️ Entrance fee: 100 RMB. Spruce Meadow/small cable car: 60 RMB. Buy tickets at Lijiang Tourism Group; we recommend the 8:30 ticket. 0-9:00 AM Around 11:00 AM, take the scenic area bus to Blue Moon Valley. After visiting around 2:00 PM, take a taxi to Baisha Ancient Town for lunch (Naxi-style hot pot, the sizzling yak meat was delicious! 👍 (Picture 5)) Day 2️⃣ Depart for Lugu Lake at 8:40 AM. We booked a 9-seater shared van in advance, round trip from Lijiang for 120 RMB per person, a 4-hour drive, arriving at Lugu Lake around 12:30 PM. Lugu Lake entrance fee: 70 RMB. Afternoon tour: Start clockwise around the lake at 1:30 PM, shared van for 50 RMB per person. Lover's Beach—Lige Peninsula Viewing Platform—Luyuan Cliff Viewing Platform—Xiaoluoshui Viewing Platform—Goddess Bay—Walking Marriage Bridge (for sunset). End at 6:30 PM. Dinner: Steamed fish at "Junxiang Xiaoyuan" (菌香小院), quite good 👍 p10 Day 3️⃣: Watched the morning mist at Guandi Flower Sea Wharf, shared boat 50 RMB per person 💰 The boat ride was 60 minutes, and we were lucky enough to see the morning mist, like a traditional Chinese ink painting. In the morning, we leisurely strolled along the lake, enjoying the slow pace of life! In the afternoon, we took a 4-hour bus ride back to Lijiang at 2 pm. Day 4️⃣: Departed at 7:10 am, 2 hours to Tiger Leaping Gorge, booked a 9-seat shared van (Lijiang—Tiger Leaping Gorge—Shangri-La, 140 RMB per person). We were dropped off at the starting point of the hike, and the driver was waiting for us at Teacher Zhang's Inn. Dinner: "Tu Yak Hot Pot" (土呀热锅), picture 13. After dinner, we strolled around the old town and went to Guishan Park to spin the prayer wheels for blessings. Day 5️⃣: At 8 am, we got our Tibetan costumes and makeup done, and after the photoshoot, we went to Feilai Temple in the afternoon. We arranged with the driver to pick us up at noon. The day and a half trip cost 1600 RMB for the car, which seats 4 people, so it's 400 RMB per person. Along the way, we passed the Red Army base area, the Jinsha River bend viewing platform, and the Baima Snow Mountain viewing platform. The driver stopped at each location for us to take photos. We arrived in Deqin County at 6 PM for lunch, and then drove another half hour to the Feilai Temple Hotel. Day 6️⃣: We arrived at the Feilai Temple viewing platform at 7:30 AM to watch the sunrise over Meili Snow Mountain. After that, the driver picked us up from the hotel, and we set off for Peacock Mountain at 9 AM. We arrived in about 2 hours and started hiking around 11 AM. The driver acted as our guide. Peacock Mountain after the snow was breathtaking! The hike was about 4km, not too difficult, and suitable for beginners. The driver was very patient and honest; he was a local Yi person, familiar with the route, and a skilled driver. Highly recommended! We finished at 3 PM and returned to Shangri-La. The dinner at Yipinjun in the ancient city was pretty good (Figure 18).
