It is recommended to arrive at the pier at 7:30 AM to board the boat. After boarding, you can first experience the blue hour before sunrise, watch the morning glow slowly spread over the lake, and after enjoying the sunrise, you can take the boat back. ‼️Tips: 1⃣️It is recommended to arrive at Lugu Lake one day in advance to rest from the journey, leisurely explore the surroundings, and have enough energy for the early morning mist viewing and a full day of lake touring without rushing. 2⃣️The morning mist does not appear every day! Remember to check the weather forecast the night before. On clear days with thin clouds, the chance of mist on the lake is higher, so don’t make a wasted trip. 3⃣️Bring food for the seagulls when taking the boat! Small pieces of biscuits or bread are fine. When feeding, a large flock of seagulls will fly around the boat, making for great photos. Without food, you might only watch others interact with them. 4⃣️The temperature difference between morning and evening is really big! Even if you wear light clothes during the day, dress warmly in the morning mist with down jackets, hats, earmuffs, gloves, and bring some heat packs, or you’ll be too cold to take good photos. 5⃣️Choosing the pier for the boat ride is important! Prioritize Boshu or Wuzhilu piers. These two have better routes with good views of the lake and close-up seagull feeding, avoiding crowded popular piers. 6⃣️Don’t just focus on driving or cycling around the lake! Stop and explore places like Lige Peninsula, Nise Village, and Marriage Bridge. Especially at Marriage Bridge in the evening, the soft light creates a very atmospheric setting for photos.
