Perfect for road trippers!🚘 The rooms at Senyu Hotel are new and beautiful😌 I especially love the ground-floor rooms—step outside and you're on the lawn😁 Sipping tea by Lugu Lake with some cake is pure joy🍰 Nearby, there's a pier, cafes, restaurants, and a small supermarket✔️ All within walking distance🚣 At night, you can even catch a Mosuo ethnic bonfire dance performance💃🏻 The main ways to explore Lugu Lake are: chartered/self-drive lake loop, Goddess Mountain cable car, or hiking in Axia Yougu Valley (requires a local guide)😁 If you're not used to mountain driving🚘, I’d recommend hiring a driver—locals know all the best photo spots👀 Lugu Lake is huge, spanning Sichuan and Yunnan, so I highly recommend staying multiple days. Don’t just stay one night and leave!!! Lugu Lake is absolutely stunning!!! Perfect for a peaceful, restorative getaway!!! Seriously, don’t make it a day trip!!! Its beauty far surpasses Dali’s Erhai Lake💙 If Dali’s Erhai Lake is on your itinerary (I’d suggest skipping it🤣), many friends and family who’ve visited later said, “We should’ve listened to you and just stayed at Lugu Lake”😁😁😁 The commercial vibe here is much lighter, and the scenery is breathtaking. For the best season, I love autumn and winter—less rain, thinner clouds, and skies so blue they make the lake glow sapphire. Absolutely magical!!! In the mornings, you can even feed seagulls with bread!!!
