Toilets, dining, and scenic spots are all overcrowded. Remember that March and April are the off-season, while summer and winter vacations are peak times. 🏝 Beware of illegal taxi drivers There is no direct bus from Dali to Lugu Lake, so the three of us chose to share a business car ride, costing 180 yuan per person. When we arrived in Lijiang, the original driver left us and arranged another car. Unexpectedly, the new driver refused to drop us off at the hotel and cursed at us, taking the opportunity to overcharge us by fifty yuan. This instantly tarnished our impression of Yunnan. Ladies! Take advice and choose official travel channels. Take a bus from Lijiang, or fly directly from Kunming, although there are not many flights, so it's advisable to book early. 🏝 Do not choose a rainy day to visit Lugu Lake Whether it's Erhai or Lugu Lake, the effect on a rainy day is completely different from a sunny day! Lugu Lake on a cloudy day is pure and peaceful, but under the sunlight, the lake water is light and lively, with a kaleidoscope of colors. It's hard to say whether it's blue or green, the clarity and brightness are beyond what any painter could mix, so vivid and brilliant. It makes you exclaim deeply, 'Oh my, it's just too beautiful!' The 'Tyndall effect' of the morning sun piercing through the clouds is absolutely blinding! 🏝 Ways to travel The entrance fee is 70 yuan. Lugu Lake is not big, you can drive yourself or hire a car. Carpooling costs 50 yuan per person, while hiring a car costs 200 yuan. For a group of girlfriends, four is the best number, economical and manageable. 🏝 Accommodation Daluoshui is one of the earliest developed villages in Lugu Lake, with a strong commercial atmosphere, and the cost-performance ratio of guesthouses, hostels, and bars is relatively high. We chose the relatively quiet Nizhai Village, where you step out the door and there's Lugu Lake, with surprisingly good indoor facilities! 🏝 Taking a pig trough boat: 150 yuan per person June, July, and August offer the best value for money, as you can see the water lilies in bloom. It's best to go early in the morning, as they bloom early and wither late. We rented a boat at six in the morning to watch the sunrise and the morning mist. My friend captured the scene of seagulls soaring over the azure lake, with the morning light shining on the water, absolutely stunning. 🏝 About altitude sickness Lugu Lake covers an area of fifty square kilometers, with the deepest part reaching over a hundred meters and a visibility of twelve meters. The highest altitude is over three thousand meters. The Fuyun Homestay we stayed at even had an oxygen machine, but I didn't use it. Both my friend and I took Gaoyuan An, a local Tibetan brand, and there's no need to take it in advance. This time, whether it was the snow-capped mountains or Lugu Lake, we felt no discomfort.
