Jeju Island solo trip travel guide for food, accommodation, and transportation

My first solo trip. Since I have been to South Korea many times and the off-season tickets were very cheap, plus I was feeling down recently, I decisively chose to go to Jeju Island to relax. Round-trip tickets from Ningbo cost 590 RMB. Because I had already visited the popular spots on my last trip to Jeju Island, this time I chose a deep travel experience. If it’s your first time visiting Jeju Island, you can refer to other guides to visit some beautiful beaches. day1️⃣ Arrived in Jeju Island at noon, around 12 PM. There were not many flights at noon, so customs was quick. I had already completed the electronic declaration in advance, so I didn’t need to show a visa or declaration form, just handed over my passport. After customs, I took a bus to Seogwipo City. The weather was great that day, and Seogwipo was full of beautiful orange groves with Hallasan Mountain visible in the distance. It took about 2 hours from the airport. After dropping off my luggage at the hotel, I went to the Cheonjiyeon Waterfall Park next door to the hotel. It was very beautiful and had very few people. There were locals walking their dogs, and the forest rangers even fed the kittens some tasty food—super cute☺️ After enjoying the sunset, I stopped by Olive Young and Artbox on the way back to the hotel. There were very few people in Seogwipo, making it easy to explore. I also bought some orange juice at the O’lleh Market. day2️⃣ Visited the famous orange café, about a 40-minute bus ride from the hotel. The staff were very friendly, and since it was a weekday, there weren’t many people. There were many spots perfect for photos. I ordered hot orange tea, which was delicious and made with homemade orange jam. After a short rest, I started hiking along O’lleh Trail No. 7! I hadn’t exercised for a long time, so I didn’t finish the whole trail, just walked westward along the way. There were many cafés, hotels, and convenience stores along the route, and the scenery was stunning. It really felt like “bitterness ends, sweetness comes” 🥺 If tired, you could always return to the main road and take a bus. After walking and exploring, I got a haircut near the hotel around 4 or 5 PM, then went back to Olive Young to catch the year-end sale—so satisfying😎👆🏻 day3️⃣ Got up early to browse Daiso, then went to O’lleh Market for a bite before packing up and heading back to Jeju City. The weather was terrible that day, so I didn’t go anywhere else. On the bus passing Hallasan Mountain, I saw a lot of snow—perfect for a song called “First Snow”❄️ I arrived in the city around 2 or 3 PM and went with my hostel roommates to a nearby kimchi stew restaurant run by an elderly couple. The taste was very authentic and homely😋 day4️⃣ The weather was much better this day. I went to Hamdeok Beach to check out a seaside café and just relaxed. The toast and tea there were delicious. There weren’t many tourists, so it was peaceful to zone out. Then, of course, Olive Young again🫢 This Hamdeok location has a stunning ocean view, a wide selection of products, and staff who speak Chinese—highly recommended! There are also many cultural and creative shops nearby. Among all the beaches, Hamdeok is my favorite, with the best commercialization. day5️⃣ Watched the sunrise at Yongduam Rock near the hostel, then headed to the airport. The total cost including flights, accommodation, and expenses was less than 2500 RMB. Jeju Island is really affordable—I’ll definitely come back next time🤓
