Ningbo Hiking Exploration: Unveiling Hidden Surprises

**Loop Trail: Quanshuiyanxia - Huajianshan - Sanxiandong** * Location: Fenghua City, Ningbo, Zhejiang * Difficulty Level: Moderate * Duration: 3 hrs 23 mins 3 secs * Distance: 7.88 km * Elevation Gain: 351 m **Starting Point Guide:** Navigate to Quanshuiyanxia, avoiding going deep into the village. There are a few small open areas near the starting point for parking. **Trail Conditions:** The entire loop trail is clearly marked with moderate conditions. Some sections have steep slopes and lots of fallen leaves. Counterclockwise hiking is recommended to reduce the burden. Be careful of slipping when descending clockwise. This trail is especially suitable for winter hiking. Due to the presence of snakes, insects, and leeches, it is not recommended during other seasons. **Highlights:** * **Quanshuiyanxia Waterfall:** (Important Note!!!) The magnificent waterfall is best viewed after continuous rainfall; the water volume is usually low. * **Huajianshan Sanxiandong (Three Fairy Caves):** The Upper Fairy Cave has a stove and is said to have been inhabited by ancient hermits, making it worth exploring. * **Yixiantian (一线天) Wonder:** Similar to the description in *The Peach Blossom Spring*, walk forward for dozens of steps through a narrow passage only allowing one person to pass. The further in you go, the narrower it gets. Above, there is a strange rock resembling Norway's Kjeragbolten, stuck atop the narrow passage. It can be called "Ningbo's Kjeragbolten," a breathtaking sight! **Return Trip Note:** The last 3 km are on a paved road. Please plan your itinerary and physical strength accordingly.
