At Dongqian Lake 'Waiting for the Wind'

After a busy week of work, I can finally take a short vacation with peace of mind. Dongqian Lake is truly an excellent choice for a short trip around Ningbo. This time, I was invited to experience this beautiful hotel & popular restaurant with friends. Overall, it was full of surprises, and I give it a perfect score 💯. 'Transportation': It takes about half an hour to drive from the city center. As soon as you arrive at Dongqian Lake, the pace immediately slows down, completely different from the fast pace of Ningbo city. This way, you can stay away from the hustle and bustle of the city and the busy work without the hardship of long-distance travel, which is the best of both worlds. 'Food and Accommodation': The 'Waiting for the Wind' hotel and Oasis Western Restaurant are operated by the same owner. Coffee, afternoon tea, and warm night snacks are all well-equipped. You can also dine directly on the second-floor terrace in the evening. The tomahawk steak is very delicious and definitely worth a try. The hotel provides turndown service, night snacks, and goodnight drinks, which are arranged in the room in advance. After taking a bath, you can turn on the projector and Marshall speakers, and the atmosphere is instantly enhanced. The minibar is stocked with Evian water, soda water, and drinks, and it can be replenished, which is great. All rooms face Dongqian Lake, so you can watch the sunrise from the bed (unfortunately, it was cloudy this morning, so I missed it, but I will come back next time). Breakfast can be served in the lakeside restaurant or arranged to be delivered to the room. The service details are very attentive, and the presentation and taste are very good. Can you believe that the breakfast millet porridge even has sea cucumber?! The food and accommodation experience is impeccable, definitely a perfect score! 'Added Value': When staying at 'Waiting for the Wind', the hotel provides free bicycle rental service. You can choose from various road bikes without time limit, just pay a deposit, which is very sincere (I chose the coolest red Trek, and it took about an hour and a half to ride around the lake, attracting a lot of attention hhhh). You can also book a sailing experience in advance. The hotel provides vouchers, and it requires two people per group. When we went, there was just wind on the lake, so we perfectly experienced the same feeling as in 'The Truman Show'. It's very relaxing to see Dongqian Lake from a different perspective and feel the lake breeze. You must try it! 'Public Area': The first-floor terrace of the hotel is an observation deck, with a popular spiral staircase and starry floor, which is very photogenic. Many beautiful girls and handsome guys take photos here. The second-floor terrace is the dining area, where we had dinner, overlooking the night view of Dongqian Lake and the first-floor platform, with an excellent view. The third-floor platform has a rooftop beach where you can play with sand, suitable for friends with children. The third-floor platform is staggered, with a lakeside restaurant, focusing on a leisurely and comfortable experience, worth a try!
