In the early spring, the Plum Blossom Valley is warm with the spring breeze, and it's crowded with people. Over thirty acres of plum groves with nearly a thousand plum trees are in full bloom, dyeing the mountaintops red, exceptionally splendid. Looking around, clusters of red plums are graceful and proud on their branches. Walking through the plum groves, the faint scent in the air is refreshing and makes one linger, reminiscent of a 'Peach Blossom Shangri-la'. Xikou Old Street is nestled between green mountains and waters, with a long history, bustling and lively. This is a genuine Republic of China era old street. The street is paved with bluestone slabs, shaded by ancient trees, with lanterns hanging high. On one side are old houses from the Republic of China era, and on the other is the clear stream. The three-mile-long street is like a historical album, with bluestone slabs, white walls with black tiles, and Republic of China architecture... all telling the stories of the Chiang family. Along the street, there are some motorcycle shops, selling traditional snacks or cultural playthings, evoking childhood memories.
