Ningbo Nantang Old Street is located outside the south gate of the ancient city of Ningbo, Zhejiang Province. It was once the 'South Gate Three Markets', a gathering place for trade and culture in old Ningbo, and is listed as one of the eight historical blocks in Ningbo. It is also a protected area in the 'Purple Line Plan' of Ningbo City. It runs from south to north, divided into south and north streets by Zuguan Mountain Road. The block retains more than 300 meters of traditional streets and alleys, with 1 cultural preservation unit and 6 cultural preservation points. The descendants of Yuan Xie, a famous scholar of the Song Dynasty, have lived here for generations.
