#springwander Mt. Tsunoda is a mountain at an altitude of 482 metres along the Sea of Japan in Niigata Prefecture. Also known as the "mountain of flowers", the spring season when flowers bloom is a popular time. As the snow melts, wild plants colour the mountains one after another. Among them, the clusters of katakuri that bloom from late March to early April and fill the entire slope are a masterpiece! Many climbers visit at this time of year in search of a superb view that is dyed purple.
