New Zealand and the Tongarira National Park hike!

New Zealand - here we go again!! I love this country and I keep coming back as soon as I have the opportunity. This time, it was a quick one, just for the Easter break but it was long enough to enjoy this spectacular hike! The #tongarirocrossing is considered one of the best day hikes in the world and I have no doubts many people would confirm that. 19.4Km track, wonderful views and challenging parts make this hike unforgettable. You pass through mountains, volcanos, turquoise lakes and national park forest. The hike takes between 6-8 hours on a average and there are multiple facilities throughout the track. The Tongariro National Park is just a 4 hour drive down from Auckland. You can stop on the way to a few beautiful little towns if you want to. I highly recommend to stop at Tauranga and Mt Maunganui, well worth the detour. New Zealand never lets you down 🇳🇿❤️
