Skipping Stones: A Dialogue Between the Sea and the Heart

In the northeastern corner of Taiwan, the magnificent scenery of the Skipping Stones Coast is like a grand performance by nature. As I stepped onto the coast made up of rocks of various sizes, each stone underfoot felt like a secret of the sea, whispering ancient stories. The sea breeze brushed my face with its salty and moist scent, while the distant waves crashed against the reefs, producing a deep and powerful echo. The name of the Skipping Stones Coast comes from these stones scattered across the sea. They lie quietly on the surface like pearls, some hidden underwater, only revealing themselves when the tide recedes. Whenever the sea water recedes, I carefully step over these stones, as if walking on a path leading to the heart of the sea. My steps are light and steady, and my soul finds release in the tranquility of this coast. As the sun sets, the sea surface is dyed golden, and the contours of the stones become soft in the interplay of light and shadow, turning the entire coast into a flowing painting. At this moment, my heart also finds peace in the interweaving of the sea and stones.
