Rhine Falls, Switzerland

The Rhine Falls is a waterfall located in Switzerland. The waterfall is located on the High Rhine River at the border of the cantons of Schaffhausen and Zurich, between the cities of Neuhausen and Laufen-Urwiesen, adjacent to the town of Schaffhausen in northern Switzerland. The waterfall is 150 meters wide and 23 meters high. The Rhine Falls is the fastest waterfall in Europe, with an average flow of 250 m3/sec in winter and 600 m3/sec in summer. The highest flow rate ever measured was over 1250m3/s in 1999. The previous record was 1250 cubic meters per second in 1965; the lowest was 95 cubic meters per second in 1921.
