The largest island in the Cyclades

After visiting the bustling Mykonos, the next island we went to was Naxos. Naxos is larger than Mykonos, but less popular. Because it is less popular, there are fewer tourists and you can spend a night quietly. Because I was sick during the trip and took medicine, and because I encountered a small accident in Mykonos, I canceled the car rental in Naxos. The bus service to Naxos was very infrequent, and we only had about 24 hours on the island, so we could only walk around the hotel, Astir of Naxos. Attractions include: Paralia Agios Georgia A very long beach 🏖️, walk slowly from the beginning to the end, maybe it will take 20 minutes. Saint Nikodimos Holy Orthodox Church💒 I originally planned to go to the bus stop near the hotel to take a bus to Halki, but I felt that I was a bit pressed for time, and then I accidentally discovered this church near the bus stop. The murals inside are very detailed and beautiful. Old Market Street If you walk around here casually, you will find that the surrounding areas are also good for taking pictures. There are white cottages, colorful doors, and flowers climbing on the walls. There are also restaurants and souvenir shops on Old Market Street. I feel that souvenirs in Naxos are a little cheaper than in Mykonos and Santorini. Most magnets are €2 each and there is quite a bit of choice. Temple of Apollo Ancient ruins by the port. It is the gate of the temple built by the ancient Greeks to worship Apollo, and now it has become a landmark of Naxos. Go at sunset, the gate of this temple is more beautiful. Super Market Koutelieris - Κεντρικό The 2-storey supermarket is said to be the largest in Greece. You can buy many Greek specialties here, such as honey, Coffee Island coffee, olive oil, sesame biscuit bars, etc. It is a good place to buy souvenirs. I didn’t have a car, so it was inconvenient to get around and I didn’t have much time, so I didn’t go to many places.
