Chausu-dake in the Nasu Highlands is 1,915 meters above sea level. The ropeway ascends to the ninth station. The round-trip fare is 1,800 yen. You can get to the ropeway station by car or bus. On a clear morning, there were many hikers, and the parking lot was full. If you plan to hike, it may be best to arrive early. Parking spaces opened up in the afternoon. The magnificent mountain scenery of Mt. Nasu is overwhelming. In the summer, the area around the summit station is very cool and comfortable. When I visited, it was summer and cloudy in the afternoon, but I still enjoyed the dynamic scenery. The autumn leaves are said to be beautiful.
