Who love nature? For those who are and not, Manyo Botanical Garden is a highly recommended place. It is located at Nara, Japan near Todai-ji Temple. While waiting for the Todai-ji Temple opening hours, it is recommended to drop to this beautiful garden. Having different kinds of plants and flowers gives a calming vibe. Very greeny! Highly recommended! #givethanks

Chugu-ji

This temple is within the large Horyu-ji complex and definitely worth a visit. This small temple has one of the most beautiful grouping of statues we saw in Japan. Chuguji contains a fascinating statue of a sitting bodhisattva with one leg crossed, a finger to the cheek, and lips playing a mysterious smile. The statue, a national treasure, is made from black camphor with a resinous lacquer finish, and appears to me, with its slender frame and hair tied into two buns, to be androgynous. This “Japanese Mona Lisa,” proclaims Chuguji, has a smile to rival that of the sphinx. Unfortunately, pictures inside of the hall are prohibited. Very historical, solemn, and very tranquil place. Nice experience! #givethanks #givethanks

Nara

Travel back in time to the days when Nara was the most important place in Japan. Visiting the site of Heijo Palace in Nara offers the chance to imagine what the area might have been like when it was the beating heart of Japan. On its huge grounds, there are structures such as the Excavation Site Exhibition Hall, the Heijo Palace Site Museum, Suzaku Gate and a garden. The opulence of the former capital which flourished as the center of Japan still lives now. Heijo Palace is accessible by walking 15 minutes from Yamato-Saidaiji Station, while Yamato-Saidaiji is just a four-minute ride from Kintetsu Nara Station. Very historical whick it makes it very interesting! #givethanks #givethanks

Kasugataisha Shrine

Along with Fushimi Inari of Kyoto, this was one of the best religious place in Japan. The walk up to it is magical surrounded by forest, stone lanterns and of course, deer. The temple itself is not very large but worth the entrance fee as inside it is full of ornately decorated metal lanterns and there is a room where you can see them lit up. I also got lucky as a wedding ceremony was taking place so I got a bit of a taste for what that is like. Even though it is a bit far from the park entrance do not miss this if you're in Nara, not only is it worth the walk but the walk is part of the beauty. Very tranquil and relaxing to walk. Well suited to anyone who enjoys photography the area lends itself to the camera with interesting old trees and structures and contrasts. #givethanks #givethanks

Shin Yakushi-ji

Yakushiji has a strictly symmetric layout, with the main hall and lecture hall standing on a central axis, flanked by two pagodas. The East Pagoda of Yakushiji is undergoing major renovation works over a time period of almost ten years (until June 2020). The complex houses a number of buildings and structures containing a fine collection of Buddhist art objects. Compared to other temples in the Nara region, Yakushiji appears to be in better repair and restoration. Outside of the more popular and mainstream designated UNESCO World Heritage Site temples in Nara City/Park. Definitely a very interesting temple visit. Historically, many interesting cultural and religious pieces! #givethanks #givethanks

Nara Park

This group of the world's boldest deer will also run to nearby farmland and eat crops, which has aroused the dissatisfaction of the affected farmers. They even established a "Nara City Deer Prevention Farmers Organization" and jointly wrote the governor of Nara Prefecture. . Deer herds chase tourists for food, and even bite tourists! Don't be fooled by their cute faces!

Nara Park

It is estimated that it is difficult for a city to be so close to people and animals as Nara does. Here deer can go shopping and play as they want, and when they are tired, lie down and sleep for a while. When you wake up, there will be various people feeding deer biscuits. Just eat and drink. If you make a deer, you must give birth to Nara.
