Sanjiang Liuxiang in Nanning

'Green bricks and black tiles with horse-head walls, corridors with flying eaves and lattice windows', this is the first impression of Sanjiang Liuxiang. Thanks to the convenient water transportation in ancient times, Sanjiang Liuxiang in Nanning was once a place where Yongzhou merchants rubbed shoulders. A few steps away is the Yongjiang River. Jin and Yinshi Lane used to be a place for making gold and silverware. People modestly covered the ostentatious appearance of 'Gold Thread Lane' and 'Silver Thread Lane' with the literary 'Gold Lion Lane' and 'Silver Lion Lane'. The buildings in the two streets and lanes are mostly from the late Qing Dynasty to the early Republic of China. They are easy to distinguish. The Qing Dynasty buildings are hard mountain top brick and wood structures, with green bricks and tiles and clear water walls, while the buildings from the Republic of China are mostly two or three-story Chinese and Western combined wall buildings.
