It was also a chance to celebrate him landing his dream job in Suzhou—definitely a cause for celebration. So, we booked The Westin Nanjing, a hotel I often pass by. The hotel's entrance is a bit hidden, tucked away in an alley behind the Lanshiu City shopping mall. But once inside, the scene is impressive. It's a high-quality, well-maintained, established Westin hotel, and we were lucky enough to be upgraded to the Executive Floor on the 33rd floor. 🧹 Soundproofing/Cleanliness: The hotel excels in both soundproofing and cleanliness. The rooms are effectively soundproofed, blocking out external noise and ensuring a peaceful rest. The cleanliness is also commendable, with spotless rooms and consistently clean public areas. 🏘️ Room Type/Layout: We were upgraded to a suite over 100 square meters, second only to the 300-square-meter Presidential Suite next door. The room layout is well-designed, and the space is generous. We could enjoy a beautiful sunrise from the bed, with a panoramic view of Xuanwu Lake. Although the hotel is a bit older, the rooms are well-maintained. 🛌 Amenities/Facilities: The hotel offers comprehensive facilities to meet various needs. The dining options are particularly praiseworthy. The breakfast buffet is extensive, featuring local delicacies like pidu noodles and teriyaki chicken. The Happy Hour dinner spread is diverse, with braised pig's trotters, chicken legs, various desserts, and fruits—better than many hotels I've stayed at. Another unique advantage is the robot delivery service for takeout, which is incredibly convenient, unlike some hotels where you have to pick up your own food. 💗 Other Tips: The hotel's location is superb, right next to the Xuanwu Gate subway station on Line 1, making it easily accessible from Nanjing Railway Station. It's also just steps away from the main entrance of Xuanwu Lake and the Shiziqiao Snack Street, perfect for sightseeing and indulging in local cuisine. The hotel staff is exceptionally courteous and welcoming. For those visiting Nanjing, The Westin Nanjing is a reliable and excellent choice. Whether you're traveling as a couple, with friends, or as a family, you're sure to have a pleasant stay here.
